About
I build WordPress and PHP products: custom plugins, complex backends, WooCommerce and third-party API integrations, and applications written from scratch. I also run the infrastructure underneath them, so performance work, migrations and security incidents do not need a second person.
From December 2015 to August 2026 I worked at InspiryThemes, an Envato Power Elite shop with 60,000+ portfolio sales, where I owned the quarterly release cycle for the 18 products outside the flagship RealHomes theme and acted as QA lead. Since 2014 I have also built the interactive demos for cPanel & WHM, and I ship my own products, SnipIt and MacStats.
On Upwork I am Top Rated with a 100% Job Success Score across 114 completed contracts, for clients in the US, UK, Europe, Canada and beyond. Five of my plugins are published on WordPress.org, with 4,000+ active installations between them.
Career
Professional Journey
Over a decade of dedicated web craft — from pioneering freelancer to senior architect.
WordPress Product Engineer & Release Manager
Owned the quarterly release cycle for the 18 products outside the flagship RealHomes theme, at an Envato Power Elite shop with 60,000+ portfolio sales. RealHomes alone has 34,000+ sales. My title on record stayed Happiness Engineer while the role grew into development, code review and release ownership.
- —Built RealHomes Instant Search from scratch in 2022: Ajax property search with MapBox map results, agency filtering, list and grid layouts, and pagination that keeps browser history correct.
- —Built OTP verification for login and registration, shipped in releases 4.5.1 and 4.5.2.
- —Reviewed and merged pull requests from other developers every release cycle, and acted as QA lead across the whole portfolio, a function nobody else in the company covered.
- —2,316 commits across the product repositories, 1,306 of them to the RealHomes theme as one of 27 contributors, with 290 pull requests merged.
WordPress Developer & Support Engineer
Handled the hardest customer problems and wrote the fixes, contributing directly to the theme and plugin codebases from 2016.
- —Diagnosed deep PHP conflicts, MySQL database errors and server bottlenecks for customers across the product portfolio.
- —Patched theme and plugin code directly, so recurring bugs were fixed at the root instead of the symptom.
- —Release scope shifted towards what customers were actually asking for rather than generic feature work.
Founder & Product Developer
Two products of my own, designed, shipped and maintained, both sold on one-time paid licences.
- —SnipIt (snipit.app), since 2024: screenshot and screen-recording SaaS. I designed the product and built the web application in PHP with auth, dashboard, admin panel, APIs, MySQL over PDO and Bunny media delivery.
- —MacStats (macstats.app), since 2026: macOS system monitor with AI explanations. I built the licensing system, the per-licence AI usage metering and the model-call proxy behind it.
- —Both ship with their own licensing, billing and update infrastructure.
Interactive Demo Developer (Contract)
Twelve engagements over twelve years for the vendor behind software that runs on millions of servers.
- —Converted the cPanel and WHM control panel interfaces into interactive HTML, CSS and JavaScript demos used for end-user education.
- —Work spans releases from 11.54 through v56, v62, v78 and v84.
- —Built and maintained the public trycpanel.net demo.
Freelance Developer
114 completed contracts, Top Rated, 100% Job Success Score, for clients across the US, UK, Europe and Asia.
- —Security and server recovery: cleared a WordPress infection with four separate persistence layers from a Plesk/AlmaLinux VPS, rebuilt the backup system, then tuned PHP, OPcache, Redis and page caching.
- —Migrations, DNS and SSL, Cloudflare setup, Fail2Ban and SSH hardening.
- —Custom plugins, WooCommerce work and third-party API integrations.
Full-Stack Architect & Developer
Sole architect and developer of gosh-int.com, an industrial web platform built from scratch.
- —Designed and built gosh-int.com end to end: architecture, database schema, backend and frontend.
- —Wrote GoshAdmin, a custom CMS in PHP 8.4 on OOP and SOLID principles rather than an existing framework.
- —Tailwind CSS and vanilla JavaScript frontend with automated deployment.
Head of Website Development & Project Manager
Started the company's web design and development department, which did not exist before I joined, and grew it into a revenue-generating unit.
- —Managed two designers and three to five developers while working as project manager, customer support and developer myself.
- —Won and delivered client projects sourced through Elance.

Background
Shipped Products
Open source and commercial
Five plugins published on WordPress.org with 4,000+ active installations, plus two commercial products of my own: SnipIt, a screenshot and screen-recording SaaS, and MacStats, a macOS system monitor with per-licence AI usage metering.
How I Work
Code and infrastructure
AI-assisted development is part of my daily workflow, using Claude Code and Codex, with the code reviewed rather than accepted on trust. On the infrastructure side: Linux, Nginx, cPanel and WHM, Plesk, Cloudflare, plus malware removal and incident response when a site has been compromised.
